Canadian doctors prescribing nature therapy

A new initiative in Canada is aiming to connect patients with the healing power of nature and the outdoors. Doctors in four Canadian provinces, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Manitoba will be able to write prescriptions for free annual passes to national parks to encourage patients to improve both their mental and physical health.

PaRx, a health initiative from the BC Parks Foundation in partnership with Parks Canada is giving pass holders access to more than 80 national parks and reserves.
